Friday Fascination: Laurel

If you've never heard of the talented singer-songwriter Laurel from a small town near Southampton, then today is your lucky day. (Thanks to Raymond Lew who introduced me to her around the time she made her US debut at Bardot's "It's a School Night"in LA.) Her voice is often a blend of Lana Del Rey & Lucy Rose, but at the end of the day her most recent EP To The Hills (via Killing Moon Records) is a gift that's unlike any other. (Head over to her artist page over on Turn First Artists to read more about this starlet who was inspired by the ever so amazing Laura Marling to pick up a guitar.)

& if her catchy single "To The Hills" wasn't enough to win you over, then maybe you haven't listened to her chilling cover of Patsy Cline's "Crazy."

P.S. Be sure to vist her SoundCloud page where you can find gems of all kinds including her stellar remix of Dan Croll's "Home" as well as a live performance of "Crazy."

Do your ears a favor & grab To The Hills on iTunes here
