It's honestly challenging not to be fascinated by this Brighton 5-piece that go by the name of Phoria. It seems like it was just yesterday when I discovered their debut EP titled Bloodworks (released April 2013, listen here.) What really caught my attention was "Red", a song that is quite soothing to the point that it's almost too good to be real. As I had hoped, the rest of the EP helped shape this body of material into something I still treasure to this day.
It's safe to say they went above and beyond with the most EP Display, released back in June. Consider this talented band a perfect blend of Radiohead & Alt-J, but my admiration for this band needs no comparisons. Need proof for yourself? Listen below! My personal favorite is "Emanate" but to be quite honest - this EP is charming from beginning to end.

One can only imagine how the US will react once Phoria make their way across the pond for a proper show or two. In this case, it's best if you keep your eye on this band - or you can always rely on LYED for updates.
If you're in the mood for more (which you should be), I highly recommend checking out their SoundCloud page. It's not only filled with original material, but also with an abundance of remixes from other bands of Phoria's material & vice-versa. Good luck trying to get away from these guys once you make your way into this sanctuary of emotion and beauty, because it's unbelievable how much a song can affect your idea with the simplest of.
