Friday Fascination: Deaf Club

Friday, Friday, it's time to let you know what I'm fascinated with at the moment, because it's Friday. I don't know where to start with this amazing band from the UK that I stumbled upon while listening to TOY one day. They're called Deaf Club, and the outnumbered female in the group (named Polly) is the one responsible for providing some of the most goosebump-infused vocals my ears have ever heard. Deaf Club are a little indie, a little shoegaze, and just the right amount of Daughter-esque vibes to cast a dark cloud over your listening session.
Deaf Club's forthcoming EP Take In Colour drops on August 5th via Transgressive Records, and this pretty penny featured below will be on it!

The song that really grabbed my ear's attention was "Lights" a B-side that accompanied "Moving Still" when it was released as a single last July. There's a limited amount of DC material available on the internet, but the quality of what they've released is amazing. After watching a handful of live videos of these guys at various festivals in Europe, I must admit I am pretty bummed to have missed out on them during this year's SXSW. One can only hope that they'll make their way back to the states, and possibly  tour with a band like Warpaint.

Be sure to check out Deaf Club over at their BandCamp page where you can find previous releases and the new EP starting next month!

& don't forget to check out
